Marcia M. Wade
Ms. Wade was appointed to the Supervisory Committee in January 2008. As Vice President of Human Resources for Santa Monica Community College District (SMCCD), she is responsible for the District’s labor and employee relations, contract administration, academic recruitment and selection processes, compensation, training and development, and student and staff equal employment opportunities. Prior to coming to SMCCD, she was the Chief Human Resources Officer at El Camino Community College District for 10 years. Ms. Wade is actively involved with the Association of Chief Human Resources Officers/Equal Employment Officers and is presently an executive board member and President Elect of the Association of California Community College Administrators. She received a bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies-Interpersonal Relations from the University of California at Los Angeles and a master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University at Dominguez Hills.
